Easily the worst film I have ever seen by a landslide

I will never ever get those 90 minutes back. Nearly fell asleep, almost turned it off but ended up speeding through the final sections at 1.5 speed. This is just utter trash. Putrid, stinking garbage. Disgraceful. I have never bashed a film like this, because I have never come across something so pointless. It is actually sad that movies like this can be manufactured, while so many talented works never make it to production for numerous miscellaneous reasons. An insult to film is what this is.

I love WWII films. I love foreign films. I love art films. But you simply cannot add them all together, cross your fingers and hope to have a winner. This is a blind person, wearing a blindfold, with one hand over their eyes, shooting into a room with the lights off, in the dark of night, trying to hit a black target.

This story just does not need to be told. PERIOD. Watching grass grow would be more interesting. Zero character development, shoddy script, pacing all over the shop and where is the damned story? It is almost plot-less. Girl leaves for grandma's house. Gets there. The end. Did the writer watch Hansel and Gretel while smooking a doobie or 50? The most focal part of the film was that everyone was constantly trying to rape her. The forced sexuality just did not need to be shown. It made zero sense.

This Director should never ever be allowed to work again. It absolutely reeks of the lack of Australian production values and overall clueless-ness of craft we seem to be known for. There IS talent out there but for the most part, the stuff that seeps through screams of us Aussies purely just not understanding how to make a decent film.

The cinematography was beautiful, but for the most part the close up camera work at its core left a lot to be desired.

The only positive thing I can say is Lore is a beautiful girl and easy on the eyes...

Do not waste your time. Grab Generation War instead.

I'm guessing you haven't seen many films as there are thousands of them that are far worst than this believe me I've seen quite a few of them. I agree with you on certain points like the forced sexuality and the close up camera work but I still didn't think it was a bad film and preferred it to her first film Somersault which I won't recommend to you as after your reaction to this one would be dangerous to your health!
