Attacking top 10 worst movies ever ......

No one can return me that one and half hour back .... I wish I can time travel.
No script, no sound, actor performance is just terrible. The cast was promising and the trailer too, but just a big scam!
Words cannot expres what this "movie" is, you must see it on your own. They didn't even afford to buy toy-grade replicas for guns, they used some china plastic awfull plastic gun-shaped objects ....
One kudos though, it was 20 minutes shorter than Smiths "after earth" abomination ...

LOL, it wasn't as bad as a few movies I attempted to watch this week, but this one was definitely low on the food chain.

It was oddly slow paced and that killed any suspense. Even though they were dying all over the place, it was kind of boring.

A million plot holes. The insanity of this old woman living out there with no phones? Really? And how was she getting her groceries?

The guy toward the end who was shot in the side manages to make it on foot and down into the lab like he's just fine.

Lame ending. The whole thing was lame and tame.

I cannot figure out how lead actor from lethal weapon ended up in this (whatever you call it). It must be a bet with someone or he didn't read a script before he sign in, I don't know. I kind understand the unknown actors have this as a ticket to B-class movies ....

And I'm wondering where were "Drama", "Horror", "Sci-Fi" or "Thriller" in this movie? There were none of these ... the most surprising thing was how easily and without any emotion the cast were dying:) And the most scary "thing" was that wrinkle old lady:o)

You said something about even worse movies, please give me some tips/warnings:o)

So, you mean Danny Glover.. Because I was gonna say: WHAT cast. ;-/

SPOILERS*******

When Dean get the letter about his Grandma, he is informed she has no land line and is suffering from hoarding.
The guy toward the end took a surface wound, he was established as an eagle scout with a germ phobia, so he knew how to bandage himself. Plus, his obsession with tunnels was established on the way to the house, so when he uses the tunnels to find where Dean is hiding, how is that a plot hole?
Ending, Dean when to save Grandma and clean her place, but she died and ended up saving him.
Dean is at peace and when he places the Buddah on her grave, that is the visual metaphor for his transformation from PTSD to coping.

ooh, I smell an Oscar...

Oh-no, it's the smell of *beep* coming off this story.

reply

I'm confused. You just said the movie sucked so bad you wish you could get that hour and a half back, but then tell us" you must see It on your own". Think i'll pass though. Thanks.

reply

I said it only to emphasize the fact the words cannot sufficiently describe this "movie":) It's garbage, definitely ...

reply

But you just described the movie with a word right after saying that the words cannot sufficiently describe the movie.

reply

nice "burn"

reply

There is nothing contrary about this. He's saying that words alone, in a short IDMB review, are insufficient to accurately describe how poor this movie is, and that people should, if they are interesting in informing their own opinion, watch it themselves, preferably alone. He didnt say 'its physically impossible for the human language to describe any aspect of this movie in any way or form possible'. So its permissible to give some brief description of its badness despite acknowledging beforehand that it will be insufficient.

reply

Cool, so anyone who thought how it might've been a nice "burn" gets a foot up their @ss with this won; neat, tnx. ;)

Edit: Just so there's no confusion (lol)

nice "burn"

reply

If words alone are not sufficient, then what is? non verbal communication?
How are we to extrapolate anything from a blanket statement that can be applied to any film ever made?
Sorry, when you make a bold statement, you need to back that statement up with facts.
We didn't fight the revolutionary war because British rule was so bad words couldn't do it justice.
We drafted words outlining the atrocities and that was life or death, this is Entertainment.
What is so hard about being able to articulate a coherent argument about the weakness of a movie?
Go see Baby Geniuses and see if you are struggling for words to express your displeasure.

reply

But, you ARE a snotty prick, aren't you? The film sucks. If the OP wishes to say no more than that, WTF is YOUR issue with that?

reply

No, you are a snotty prick. The film doesn't suck. I support your right to be wrong.

reply

I'm guessing you're Jason Dudek, right? Writer/Producer? I haven't seen the movie Toxin yet, but looking at your posting history, you comment on movies Dudek has been involved in. A simple google search shows a website in which Nue View Films Production Company has Jason Dudek as the writer/director: http://shoots.com/crew/2/michael_brandon_landsberg.html

And please tell me this isn't you, though the profile pic looks like your pic on IMDB:

I'm not slamming the movie Toxin because I haven't seen it yet. If you are indeed the writer/director, be more transparent, I think it's awesome when people involved in a movie come on IMDB and talk about it. Their interactions make me want to see the movie even more!

reply

You're not much of a wordsmith, eh?

reply

I would not take that person's opinion into account.

reply

Sigh...aside from this childish one upmanship, this film was a solid 4/10

reply

Solid 6/10. Grandma is worth the price of admission and this may be Fiona's last role. Dean is competent, Danny "delivers", the rest of the cast is giving it their all and you can tell no performances are phoned in. The music score is really good and composed by an Emmy award winning composer. The pacing is fast, the kids get to the house quick, the movie doesn't wast time, the sets are great, the science works for the story. Technical Sound and Picture are above average as well to support the 6/10.

Weakness in my opinion is Vinnie Jones and lack of development of the supporting characters, or this movie would be a 7/10. The science is debatable but thoroughly researched.

reply

Your review was more entertaining than the film. Thanks for the palate cleansing laugh.
If you really want to sell it next time a project rolls around you need to stick to the at least debatable features. The cast giving it their all? Within the realm of reason. The pacing is fast? No one could believe this to be true that didn't have a vested interest in doing so. It made a relatively short film feel like forever. You tipped your hand there. And don't even get me started the science. If it was 'thoroughly researched' that researcher never reported back to the script writer.

Nowhere near the bottom 10 worse films. Not even of the year really. But not even close to a 6 either. I'll give it a generous 4.

If you take life too seriously it stops being funny.

reply

The cast was promising

Are you serious?

This cast is totally crap lol.

reply

It is by no way a good film. I gave it a four out of ten. It is cliched and nothing special.

But to it's credit, main characters are not that bad and it is easy to root for their survival (minus the blond British guy). Relationship between grandmother and grandson is rather nice too.

It is not even the worst January 2015 film I've seen. Granted, January has had, as usual, many bad films. But the worst so far is Bound. It is an Asylum production version (ripoff) of Fifty Shades of Grey. If you think this was bad...

reply

The gun replicas are not as bad as you say. It's hard to take you serious because in no way is this at worst average movie even cracking the list of top 100 worst movies, let alone 10.

I guess exaggeration and hyperbole makes your post more relevant to yourself.

reply

This film stinks like a sh*t smugglers dufflebag.

reply

I don't think it smells like you or your bag, my friend. :)

reply

Thanks for your pointless opinion, now get back under your bridge where you belong.
