'Now It's Our Turn'

I love the tagline for this movie. It's supposed to be indicative of the "new feminism" which is already a tired, so fifteen years ago concept. I mean, don't get me wrong. As a guy, I love the idea of women fighting the madonna-whore principle so embedded in our patriarchy.

That said, it's such a shallow, childish justification for being trampy that I can't imagine it didn't come from male marketing executives. It may be the single greatest lie men have ever put over on women. "You can fight your patriarchy-enforced constraints by behaving the way most men actually wanted you to in the first place." Awesome. Simply awesome. The best part is that once you behave that way, you are still stuck in the same old male dominated society and you will be branded as a slut for life, disrespected and snickered about anyway. Anyone really think that part was going to change?

I think you give the makers of this movie far more credit than they deserve. I doubt any really serious thought went into one iota of this production. I watched it for the cast, but it is absolutely the worst piece of garbage I've seen in decades. The producers have to be trust fund babies or something. There's absolutely no excuse for unleashing this junk on the poor, unsuspecting movie-watcher.

Funny enough most brain dead feminists actually have that "it's our turn" mindset which is pretty hypocritical to the say least.

Their mindset is "im a victim of sexism that I pull out of the air so ima justify that to be sexist too because it's my turn!" ...Tweens normally have that mindset.

Well, I wasn't at all saying sexism isn't real. It is very real. Women are quite literally victimized every day all over the world. That wasn't my point at all. It's not like when everybody from billionaires to the Christian right try to play the victim card while they're subjugating everyone else in society. Women really are being cheated in wages, discriminated against, physically attacked, molested, raped, sold into slavery and murdered every day. So, please don't misunderstand my post to mean that I'm a woman hating a-hole.

Except they aren't cheated in wages due to discrimination. While there is a gender wage gap, it's not due to sexism. Men are the number #1 victims of murder (77% of murder victims in the US are men) I'm sure it would be 60+% in all other countries too. Men are also #1 for being attacked and just a victim of an overall crime. However the only thing that women are ahead of men in is domestic violence. Most of said victims seem to be women, however lets keep in mind that ass load of unreported cases are from men, either because they don't want to report them for whatever reason or they simply did not do enough damage to them. The worst part is, if a woman gets attacked the guy is donezo. Men will come to the woman's aid, and a cop always takes the female side. Despite studies suggesting up to 50% of the time women actually initiate the domestic violence.

If you factor in male on male prison rape, the numbers would once again be almost even as far as the gender numbers that falls victim to rape.

Statistics/studies (the real ones, not the *beep* feminists spew that are lies/propaganda) kinda proves that women aren't as big as victims as they are making themselves out to me.

The purpose of the whole "im a victim" thing is to get empathy, which results in power.
