It Is What It Is

Since I have really started diving into Netflix, I occasionally come across movies I had never heard of, but maybe I recognize the actors or the plot seems interesting. I then watch the film and I am amazed that I missed it when it was first released. The films "Just Before I Go" and "Love Stinks" come to mind. Unfortunately, "10 Rules" is not one of those movies.

Its also not the worst slop ever put to screen. The cast is charming and likeable which makes it less than tortuous to sit through. Its not high art, but its also not "Mr. Wrong" (the horrible Ellen Degeneres movie from the 90s.)

Vince and Cameron are a married couple who have an open relationship. Ben and Kate are their friends (who are also dating each other) and Ben works with Vince at an internet publishing company. Through a series of overly contrived coincidences that would make a TV sitcom writer blush, Vince and Cameron both borrow Kate's cabin on the beach for a weekend hookup with their affairs. (I spent a lot of the movie saying to myself "what normal person would act like that or do that?") Ben and Kate then each separately rush to the cabin to warn their friends. There is also a gay/not gay party planner (a funny Bryan Callen), a really horny dog, a naked boy toy, and Bill Bellamy slumming as a security guard at the party.

As I said earlier, the leads really make this movie watchable. Nothing about the plot is worth remembering, but the cast brings their all to the proceedings. Virginia Williams as Cameron is gorgeous and looks amazing in her underwear. Jesse Bradford and Chris Marquette make a fun, bumbling pair of buddies. Tammin Sursok as Kate is the least likeable of the four. She plays Kate as kind of whiny and annoying, which is not necessarily wrong for the role, but just makes Kate unlikeable.

There are much better rom/com movies on Netflix. 10 Rules is not in the top 25 on the streaming service, but its not in the bottom 25 either.

My memory foam pillow says it can't remember my face. I can tell its lying.

the bad thing is its not so funny, but bcoz they have good experienced actor, everyone looks so confident and not seems awkward at all like a b-movie actor.

THRILLER IS MY FOOD!
