In the episode with the inn / abortion mononoke, was the concubine/lover Russian? because she is the only blonde/white looking character with yellow hair and the employee at the inn made a point of reacting to her appearance. Imo she looked Russian and obviously Russia is near. I didn't expect to see a non-Japanese looking character in edo period.

I cannot find any information about russo-japanese slave trade. According to it's description this is edo period Japan but wikipedia states that slavery in Japan was abolished in the late Sengoku period.

No she isn't. Her name is Shino and she was running from a hit-man send by the people she had worked for to kill her, because she's pregnant with their son's bastard child

Yea, her name was Shino... I thought she was white slaved and she was like his concubine.
