Absolutely RIDICULOUS movie (spoilers)

It's one thing having a revenge plot in which the killer has a close/intimate connection with the victim (ie a husband avenging the gang rape of his wife) It's another when a policeman, who's clearly high up the police force (given his training and access to SWAT hardware) suddenly goes awol, forsaking his career to avenge the death of some gang banger, the like of which he's probably seen hundreds of times during his career. Or maybe I'm being too judgemental. Seriously, how does crap like this even get made?

Why would you let the cop's completely non-existent backstory affect your entire judgement of this movie? He was in the movie for less than ten minutes.

It wasn't a gangbanger, it was a 15 year old kid who was being shaken down for money every day by two thugs, and got killed because nobody helped, nor would anybody talked to the cops, so nobody got convicted. But yes, the cop did go off the deep end over it.
