SPOILERS* Why so many panties in a bunch over this very well done movie?

I thought the film portrayed a dark and mysterious slice of the world and human nature.

The criticism of the Maciste character is kind of shallow imo ... first of all, it's a reality in our world that some young girls are prostitutes, at least in this film she was by choice, not under some abusive pimp, and let's not forget her original intention was to rob this man, or at least aid in the theft. Another reality of our world that happens all the time.

I thought the film was interesting, true no flashy hollywood special effects, but still a well executed story.

Obviously people who don't like subtleties and introspection, are not going to like this film.

If I want to be sermonized, moralized, or propagandized, I'll join a church or a political party.
