Elliana really IS the new Maddie

After 1-17's episode I can't remember any kid quite so wound up tight and neurotic to please the grown ups in her life since season 1-2 Maddie!

Careful, Yolanda. Your child is a great dancer and well spoken but that's the kind of perfectionist child raising that leads to eating disorders or self harm later in life.

As psychologist Carl Rogers might say, her parenting style sets conditions of worth for a child to receive a mother's love.

Yolanda reminded me of Melissa as well. Only difference is Abby treats her like Chloe.

Elliana seems a little more grounded than Maddie to me. She also seems more mature and genuinely confident. I feel like Maddie only felt like she was the best and confident because she was always on top. If she was like Nia or something who rarely had the chance to shine, I don't think Maddie would have handled it well. With Elliana, I don't think she has to always win or be praised to know she's special. Elliana knows her talent and her worth regardless of her position.

Nah, if something she is the Chloe.

"There is only one hell, the one with all live now ..."
