I'll take a stab at it caused i had to watch it twice and the ending like 6 times,

They told her they was taking her to the hospital, BUT since she was affected and no-one knew she was there and she knew to much, they through her in there with the other affected ... rather they killed her or not is up to u.

She never physically said saying no that no-one knew she was there though from was I seen.

I watch too many movies.....

I mean this in the politest way I can, but what's not to get?

The 'doctors' at the end said the escaped patients had been rounded up, so the 'monsters' in the film were escaped radiation patients. Make your own mind up as to whether the doctors were trying to help them or were just experimenting on them.

The sole American survivor is taken in and, when asked whether anyone knows she's there, indicates they don't. So the doctors decide to throw her in with the other patients. Either she's then out of the way, just like the other patients, or they kill her. Win win!

Or have I erred somewhere? I only watched it once.

reply

Why do the radiation patients want to kill tourists anyway???

reply

Do you mean regarding Amanda and the sudden ending?

reply

Since there are military personal, I think the government wanted to keep the effects of the incidents on the down low. Because the girl knew the realities of the town, they just let her die so the truth wouldn't get exposed. That's how it came off to me.

Doesn't explain why you just don't cap her in the head right after her idiot boyfriend gets killed. They clearly said via subtitles that she saw too much and they had to get rid of her so they tossed her in the room with all the captured patients which they also said via subtitles that they rounded them all up. Only question is "patients" of what exactly? MY guess would be they, the government, were doing tests on people around there and created these "patients" who ten escaped. Remember at the first check point the guards told them there was an issue, i.e. the patients escaped and they were trying to round them up.

reply

Right. See, that's what I don't get eitehr. OK, they can't/won't release her, and clearly they're not going to give her medical treatment (at least, not any useful medical treatment), they killed her boyfriend, so why not just shoot her too? Why put her in with the "patients?" Unless those military personnel were confident that the "patients" weren't going to kill her (though it's pretty safe to assume that they will since they killed off everyone else in her group), then obviously they look at her as "fresh meat" to experiment on, whereas the other "patients" have possibly reached their testable limits? Very confusing.

Im pretty sure they kept her alive for the explicit reason to question her about if anyone else knew she was there. They basically just wanted to know if anyone was going to come looking for her or her friends. Once they found out, they disposed of her by throwing her to the patients to be killed.

mr_dant, please learn how to use the English language, at least a little bit, before posting your thoughts. I had to try reading your post about 7 times before I even started to get any clue what you were trying to say. Seriously headache-inducing, man.

reply

Hahaha

In reference to the poster who commented on Mr. Dant's bad sentence construction: there is a jerk on one of these dope-smoking forums who insists on capitalizing the beginning of each and every word he writes. Fancies himself a type of ee cummings of sorts. And the moderators let it go.

But he should be burned alive

I thought the same thing, but I didn't want to be mean. Who knows, maybe they are from a different country or something and don't know their English that well, or at least grammar.

My guess is that dant is a failure of a Commonwealth education, from the wording. And if people don't tell you that you come off as writing gibberish, how can you know what to work on?

dant, for chrissake, stop watching movies and start reading. Your writing is abysmal and you sound like a dip****...but only after the fifth or sixth read-through, once we start to understand what you were trying to say.
