My thoughts on this movie. *SPOILERS*

So, I just got through watching it and honestly it was kind of a letdown. Sure, Ray Wise was great and I really felt sympathetic for his character, especially after knowing his fate which was pretty *beep* up btw, but there really isn't much else to this movie. Adam Green and the camera guy were ok, although it's obvious they weren't trying too hard to act rather than play themselves.

Those creature designs/effects were really awesome though atleast the stuff that we actually could see which wasn't much sadly. Maybe it was budget issues or perhaps even intentional, and while I understand using your imagination can be effective, aside from the ending I just wish the payoff was better. That being said I do give props to Adam working with as limited of resources as he had, and for the most part succeeding on a technical level.

I'd give it a 6-6.5/10.

My major complaint was Adam and his friend's acting. Like, it was kind of cringe worthy at times. That being said, Ray was great as usual, and the monsters were cool. I enjoyed the mother for what it was, and it was nice to see that Adam wasn't afraid of taking shots at himself (like the whole Holliston script scene, or "Did you see Hatchet 2?"). Flaws aside, it was a very decent horror mockumentary.
