What's with the F bombs these days?

I am amazed at the number of movies I pass on simply because the F word is used. There are so many that could pass off as suitable for kids if they left out the bad language. It isn't like the language adds to the quality. Just pure stupidity that its even there. Reminds me of the many dorks who post videos on Youtube and swear every other word. This generation is full of mindless t urd brains.

One of my favorite teachers said that "profanity demonstrates a lack of vocabulary".

Really? If the sound of a word offends you this much you are not fit to have children. People swear in every day life, the character was a theif. It'd be starnge if he didnt curse some of the time!! And why should films pander to children any way? I dont think a 7 year old would understand or be interested in Robot & Frank! Mind you neither would you by the sound of it.

Depends on the context. People swear, it happens. There's no reason not to have it in film and TV. *beep* the idea that people who swear lack a vocabulary.

I saw it, I showed it to my two young siblings and my whole family... My two siblings were 7 and 13, and I felt the movie had very good content to show it to them.
They really enjoyed it, my whole family enjoyed it, and children tend to be very active when not in theaters anyways, they kept on being loud and talking during the movie that they probably only heard one F word, and didn't copy cat anyone. So we just kept on watching the movie and talking and laughing...

You know what was a good movie? The Godfather. They showed a guy getting his hand impaled with a knife just before being strangled to death. We see guys getting shot in the face, shot in the throat, shot in the eye with blood gushing onto the lens of his glasses, a man and women machine gunned in bed, a bloody horse head, a young woman being blown up in a car. But thank God no one ever says the F word in that movie. Cuz that would be going way too far. Therefore it's perfectly fine to show to a roomful of kindergarteners.

Your right. Using the F bomb is extremely unintelligent, while words like "dorks" and "turd" demonstrate a high degree of maturity and civility.
