DO NOT WATCH THE TRAILER

Holy crap the trailer is like someone telling you about the movie, missing some of the "whatever" details but whats important is all there. I've made an effort to try and forget it because the movie looked good, but to no avail.

The trailer is exactly what it needed to be in order to sell this movie. It's hard to sell a movie based on what happens in the first act most of the time. You have to present the major conflict in order to hook the audience into buying a ticket. This movie doesn't really get into anything big until fairly late.

Holy *beep* aside from revealing she is his wife and that he ends up in a home that is the whole movie right there.

I hate trailers nowadays, especially ones that basically show you the whole film up until the last act.

Reviews nowadays are just as bad, it's not a review it's just an explanation of the whole plot.

agreed, I do my best to avoid trailers completely. too many of them are either full or spoilers or completely misleading anyway
besides, I always find it more fun to go into a new story (be it written or screened) knowing as little as possible. for example for this movie all I knew was the brief netflix description. I was actually looking more for a comedy tonight than an emotional and thought provoking film but I wasn't disappointed despite that
