Really well-done action scenes in my opinion
But overall it's also super-cheesy, super-contrived, kind of pretentious and stylistically cliched, and the storytelling isn't exactly engaging even if it's passable.
At its best it has a Max Payne in Mexico vibe (a la Max Payne 3). At its worst it seems like a made-on-the-weekends-with-a-camcorder microbudget indie, directed by someone who is trying too hard to ape a Robert Rodriguez-meets-Guy Ritchie feel.
