From the opening shot in the trailer all i could think about is how this is exactly like Buried. I don’t think Buried got enough main stream attention so they think they can get away with doing this.

reply

It looks more like Buried meets 24.

Just because it's a claustrophobic thriller doesn't mean it's gonna be like Buried. The story in this film actually seems to have a more clever approach to the situation.

reply

Well they should...I'm sure they have seen Buried. Its not hard to watch a movie and think of ways you could improve it. I'd be very dissapointed if they hadn't.

I've seen "Buried" and the trailer for "Brake." "Buried" was okay but it didn't have any of the fast-paced, intense action that "Brake" appears to have. Does anybody in here actually SEE a movie before judging it?

reply

Yes, everything that is put on the internet is 100% serious. Obviously there is no way I could just be joking, and everyone who says these movies look somewhat similar is completely judging them - and not merely making a reasonable observation.

Thanks for jumping in, Scarewriters. What would we do without you?

Hopefully you're capable of identifying sarcasm - I don't want to rush to judgement on it.

LOL @ The Butcher.

I wish you could copy paste that entire post to most of the idiotic postings on IMDb.

And, BTW, just bc Buried didn't have 3,000 car chase scenes and some bugs attacking a guy with an alarm clock in his box doesn't mean that sh!t wasn't freaking edge of your seat scary. Buried was a PSYCHOLOGICAL thriller. Not everything has to have tons of action to be intense. By the end of that film, I was severely freaked out.

I saw Buried at the theater and thought the admission was worth it, which is more than I can say for most films.

Definitely worth a watch.
