Breaking Bad?

Anyone else feel like they're ripping off Breaking Bad a little? First Steven Mackentosh turns all bad ass all of a sudden (or breaks bad, if you will) and then Ashley Walters character watches someone choke to death on their own vomit...sure it's not cooking meth but it similar in quite a few places.
What do you think?

Nah, it is probably something that happens when you decide to do something such as they are. I do see what you're saying though and said it myself how the guy turned all feral after deciding to do the heist. As far as the black guy and his mom, I don't know. I guess she was such a raging drunk she wasn't his mom much anymore.. Yet, to see him at the prison accepting the words of wisdom from his dad was a bit like... okay, did he not beat the mom to turn her into that drunk? Now all of the sudden he is Yoda with all knowing words about him protecting his family.

if it's true wouldn't bother me as long as the show's good, TV tends to do it alot and I assume they're aware people will notice. pretty harmless IMO

Although his initial motives were different, there is no doubt that BB's Walter White is an influence on the central character

It reminded me of breaking bad as wheel.

I came to the forum literally to say this exact same thing. Mackintosh is totally Walter White, except in 4 episodes the transformation feels far too abrupt and out of character. The fact he acts so massively different when he's not with his wife (who we can presume knows him pretty well) detracts from the credibility of his performance. He acts it well, it's not his fault, but the pacing and development is too rapid. Otherwise a fairly solid series.
