PETA angered by mindless slayings of noble creatures

But I'm just glad I did not have to hunt and kill any tastey animals myself before I devoured them. It's messy and tough work.

People for the Eating of Tastey Animals indeed :)

Good for PETA... shows like this belong on the OUTDOOR Channel and other channels devoted to hunting and fishing.

Fire Nancy Dubuc !!! History Made-up Every Day !

very amusing :)

Ok so I got it now, so it's the CHANNEL moniker that matters, not the quality or subject matter.

??

So the OUTDOOR channel can have hunting and fishing and anything involving killing and destroying animals wholesale, but nothing that has Art or Entertainment in it, and I'm not allowed to either be entertained by it or see it as art. So if I start to watch something on SPEED network that has something slow, or watch something on A&E that is neither art nor entertainment, or see them go INDOORS on the OUTDOOR channel, I should change or the block the channel and write the network letters of protest for false advertising in their channel lineup. ABC should be sanctioned and fined if anything ever get's broadcasted in the UK or internet.

Can I write MTV and complain about their lack of actual music videos? Heh. This gets better and better. Oh boy I can only imagine what you could say against a tv channel named THINGS AND STUFF. I'm waiting for the WIFEBEATINGCHILDKICKING network TV station to come around. As long as the channel says so, it's OK :)

also just FYI but PETA has no power here, I was being sensational to mock them. They're a mostly powerless entity that people like to throw around to add weight or sympathy to their argument, but I can't think of anything they have ever done of consequence when it involves a state sanctioned erradication of a legally huntable pest, or the filming of it. The show will air and be cancelled based on ratings, there is nothing PETA can do or say about that thankfully. Myself and others will enjoy our meat and animal products regardless of what happens to peta, american hoggers television shows, or television in general.

Thank you, Wildboar-1. PETA is an absolute joke, much like the UN, and over the top obnoxious.

I am against animal abuse in general, BUT we're talking about feral hogs and boars here, not someone's cute little pet pig. These animals destroy farmers' and ranchers' land and other property, and that in turn destroys said farmers' and ranchers' livelihood.

I've known about this show for a while now, but only actually tuned in to check it out last month. LMAO! It was SO not what I thought it was going to be about. I thought from the title of the show that it was about a family or familes of hog ranchers, and that the show would follow their lives and show us what raising pigs/hogs for food, etc. is all about. Boy was I surprised when I found out it's about a bunch of Texans hunting down wild hogs and boars for a living, lol. That actually got my interest and kept me watching. Course, then there were several weeks here for a while that I missed the show because when I originally started watching, there apparently a marathon of the previous season on, and at the end of it, it was announced that the new season would be starting soon. Unfortunately, apparently I wasn't paying close enough attention to when the new season would be starting and what time it would be at. Tonight is the first night since I started watching that I was able to see more episodes, and apparently the new season is already over?

Oh well. Que sera sera.

P.S. (I watch this show for pure entertainment, not because I'm expecting much from it)

Haha "noble"? Boars and hogs aren't noble.

so there's a difference between mindless slaying and intelligent slaying?
