I have a great idea for a title...

Cliche, The Movie! Derivative and contrived. Another horror film that didn't need to be made. The acting is certainly not bad, but the writing and directing are uninspired. Why, oh, why?

inherits a house from grandfather in remote woods, she and her friends check it out.

What? That's totally original!

The road is closed and must hike in. Shelby discovers that her father had a brother Joshua who was institutionalized when he was young

Trouble getting there? Brilliant! The crazy unknown institutionalized family member? This is getting into serious new ground.

When her friends start to disappear, Shelby suspects that Joshua is still alive and hiding in the Red House

Friends starting to disappear? Riveting! It might be that crazy uncle still alive hiding in the house? Woo-hoo!

Also being threatened by a couple of local pot growers and his son Will

A local group of hillbillies are threatening them? Mysterious!

Jeez that plotline is surely something that I haven't seen a thousand times before I'll be putting a pillow on the floor so I don't hurt my ass when it slips off the edge of my seat.

Dripping with originality, Killer. Imagine having everything in place to make a film, only to knock out more crap!

The cop took the prize. His "good cop, bad cop" rolled into one, was pretty lame.

He so was the "token" black dude. Each character was a cliche. Two of the girls simply replaced characters who would normally be played by guys. For example, one was the extrovert and annoying type, and liked lifting up her top to flash her love pillows at everyone. Booooring.

The cliche is that the token black dude always gets killed first. And you darn well know that wasn't true. He ended up the hero actually.

While I agree this was far from the most riveting movie, it wasn't all cliche.

Funny how they couldn't reach the house by car and the stupid cop keeps driving up right to the porch several times.

That's right! I hadn't thought of that. I remember wondering how they found the house in the first place, with it being supposedly unreachable by car, and out in the middle of nowhere.
