shareActually, this movie comes after Death Race 2 which itself predates Death Race (starring Jason Statham). If you watch DR3 at the end where they show the racapping of the events leading to the *plan*.. you will see they replace Danny Trejo (who *apparently* dies in DR3) with Ian McShane and on the screen you can see Hennessey (Joan Allen) as leading the prison island.
So, saying that you wish they would bring back actors from the *first* doesnt make chronological sense. And Lists, never left.
You sort of answered the question I was going to ask, but I am still confused about something. Wasn't Lucas the original Frank and didn't he get burned severally at the end of two. Which made them decide to postpone more Death Races until they could find someone who could take over and take the whole idea of the Death Race as her own.
shareIn the beginning of the third movie, Carl is talking to Weyland and he calls Weyland out on his motives saying that he only fixed his infected scar tissue to keep him racing. I guess that's where they got the time line gap between Hennessey and this. They still had her prepping in the wings because Weyland came to an agreement with Carl despite Niles' hostile take over.
