Jack Robinson is the dreamiest

But Phrynes costumes and jewels are nice eye candy too!
Love this show, keep it up!

He's a dish, isn't he?

I love the way he has a lot of sexy little expressions he uses when he looks at Miss Fisher--mostly when she's not looking.

They let him show how attracted he is to her in various little ways that are cute.

My favorite is when the camera is on his face when she does the fan dance as an undercover exotic dancer in the club. We don't see it but we know she removes ALL of the fans at the end of the dance.

The camera is on Jack's face when he sees her and he tries to hold his face steady not to show he's affected by the sight of her starkers on the stage.

It was SO cute.

There is an episode when she says that love can undone even the toughest of men and his face is priceless-

Total animal magnetism- he is totally unnerving with the look he gives Phryne
I just re watched the episode where she nearly died after Jane was abducted and the end scene with him looking at her gave me chills and by the way how did she not die after drinking the poison

What about when Jack thought Phrynne had died in the car accident? He was so upset! I agree Nathan/jack is hawt! I too watch the show for Jack's hawtness and Phrynne's clothes.

What kind of name is Phrynne? Is it a uniquely Australian name? I never heard of it before.

The name Phryne (and I keep mispronouncing it!) - in one episode her aunt says something like "Phryne has the same qualities as the notable person of old that she was named after had." So it must be a name of someone famous in literature or Egyptian goddess or something.

Her clothes are to die for! Of course, she has the slim figure for them.

I just read the first book in the series yesterday (LOVED IT!) and it is explained that she is named after this Phyrne:

I've never heard it outside Miss Fisher.

...apparently, it means "toad"!

After reading that link, I think she was calling her niece a tart 

It certainly sounds that way, doesn't it?  Very interesting link!

I didn't notice it at first, but the more I watch the show, the more Jack reminds me of my late husband. (If my late husband had been a clean-cut 1920s police detective, that is.) I have one photo of him from shortly before his death where there is a noticeable resemblance to Nathan Page ... and every time Page gets that same expression on his face, that slightly amused little smile, which they share in that particular photo, I think of him and it makes me smile too. Perhaps that's one of the reasons I'm growing to like Jack so much.

Of course, my mother doesn't see the resemblance between them, but I do ... and that's what matters. Right? 

With a man like Jack, I wonder how Phryne can have the desire for any other man.

I love Phryne's outfits, but Jack is my favorite character. The actor's facial expressions are priceless. I wouldn't miss a scene he's is in, so that I can watch his reactions. I also love the way he looks at Miss Fisher, and the way she looks back. He also surprises me a lot, like his "beep beep" when Phryne was playing with Hugh's cars in season one, or when he was teasing Phryne with spiders in season 3, and his amusement about it. And then there were the heavier moments, like when he thought Fisher was dead, or when he was upset because she stood him up for her father. I have to admit that I watched the show for him, and if his role in the books was bigger, I would've bought and read them.

He also has the best one-liners.
