Storage 24 isn't that bad

Come on people. IMDb seems to have a tradition of trolling and tearing movies to bits. This movie in particular isn't that bad. It's not great, I mean hell, I knew that from the trailers but it wasn't a waste of time like say Interstate 84 or something like that. What do people expect?

Despite its quirky moments I'm grateful the only noticeable CGI was at the end and even that wasn't bad.

I found this film to be quite solid and enjoyable.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!

I saw it on Sky yesterday, and it wasn't very good.
The basic idea was fine, but people just don't behave like that. It may have been better if the actors were told to react how they would if that thing was really in the building. For example, the woman wouldn't just sit on the toilet like that if she saw a shadow move in a supposedly empty room, she would be up immediately. And those fuses take a long time don't they? And why does the power go off and on? Oh never mind, it's so dull it doesn't really matter.
There was also a lot of relationship talk throughout the film which pushed it down the bad British TV soap opera route with a bit of Dr. Who thrown in. i.e. predictably dull with teenager style 'problems.' Cliched comic book character's, and stilted dialog exchanges don't help it either.

All in all it wasn't that bad, if you view it as a film student's first attempt! : )

But not one I'd buy.

I just watched this today because of Colin. A few minutes into the movie I saw Noel, and I did the standard Doctor Who reaction Rickey!... Mickey!

I have seen way worse movies than this and I like both of the actors above so just take it for what it is and be entertained.

I saw it on Netflix and while it wasn't great it was okay. I did tend to have more fun making Mickey Smith and Doctor Who jokes than actually watching the movie but still that's something. :)

It was good for like the first half, but it was so predictable.

Knew the old cool guy was going to die knew the cheating girlfriend wasn't going to die because she's an empowered woman that can do no wrong. The alien for some reason decides rather then kill her quick like everyone else it takes it's time and gets hurt by a dinky knife despite punching through solid metal.

The man she was cheating with wasn't so lucky and had to be made evil at the last minute to justify killing him.

The other girl's boyfriend dies and she couldn't give any less of a ****. Yet they are so desperately worried about Charlie. Who I liked at the beginning of the movie.

The monster was honestly the most pathetic one I've ever seen. Scared of fire works and toys able to slap people's jaws off but defeated by a man with a crow bar.

The dog running away yelping and dying cliche. Just once it'd be nice to see the dog actually kill the thing. Hell it doesn't even have to be the monster.

Clearly planes are shot down, yet at the end surprise aliens! Did they forget the jet engine on the car or something? I'm really confused on this one.

I was actually really liking this. Genuinely suspenseful at times, a scary looking alien, and the two lead guys were well acted, had a little bit of depth to them, and were both fairly likeable, even with their flaws. It wasn't completely predictable either, I kept trying to debate with myself exactly who would make it.

Then the last 10 minutes happened. The last 10 minutes where Mark's character is completely derailed and ruined beyond repair, the last 10 minutes where it became exceedingly obvious about what EXACTLY would happen, the last 10 minutes were that b!tchy ex-GF lives despite having no redemption arc (sans an "I'm sorry" at the end) or redemptive moments. The last 10 minutes that were completely and utterly devoid of suspense. Totally ruined the movie.

Before the ending: probably about a 6.5 or so
After: 1-2

Yeah, it's predictable, traditional and the relationship crap slowed the movie down, but in spite of it all, I enjoyed it for what it was and thought the monster was decent anyway. It creeped e out enough to enjoy it.

It's not going to change any lives or start any new trends, but it was an old fashioned made ofr fun sci-fi movie. Unlike a lot of the snobs and whiners, I don't need a movie to be perfect in every way to have a good time watching it. It's good for Halloween night.
