What was the point of the old man?
He seemed unnecessary.
share***SPOILERS***
He led the other characters to a safer storage unit, told them about the air vents, told them where to find weapons, sacrificed himself for the group, and provided a kill for us to enjoy.
He feels unnecessary because he wasn't established earlier in the film. He comes out of no where and provides much-needed information. It's lazy writing, but I'm okay with it, since I liked the character.
The old man was based on a real person... Kinda, the trivia section tells more but not alot... Noel Clarke was inspired to make the movie when he spent some time at a storage facility himself
I'm chill. I'm chill as a cucumber, man.
