Has the series become better after Selma Balir's departure?

When Anger Managment started it was boring, had very slim plot lines, supporting cast was unlikebale and only watched it for Charlie.

But, since the departure of Selma Blair,I think the series underwent a makeover. They turned Charlie's character to what it was on 'Two and a half men'.In fact he even started dressing like him, more mileage to the supporting cast who have responded well and have become likeable, less for his ex-wife and daughter which is good, introduced the english guy,the new girl and Martin Sheen as regulars and voila the show is so different. The script has more depth and plot lines are better and for a change it is funny! The writers must be different as well as the sitcom is something to look forward to whereas earlier it was very drab and something to get through.Good job Charlie!

No it became worse. The last episode was the worst. Nothing but lame sex jokes. It was basically a porno, almost literally, with Brian Austin Green getting naked twice.

No, it was a little funny when it started and the chemistry between her character and Sheen I thought was one of the best things. Now it just become real crap as sad and pathetic as Two and Half Men and Sheen himself.

I like Selma Blair, but I think her scenes with Charlie had become stale. I think the new blonde is a good change. The stuff they write for her seems lighter; Blair's character was a little dark.

The show seems fresher now. I think they needed to do something different, and adding a new character who has just met Charlie seems like a good idea. Charlie and Kate had too much history, and seeing Jordan react to Charlie's behavior is funny.

I smell dark magic! It's a bit like burnt popcorn.

Can't stand the new pixie faced woman and I think the show just gets worse and worse, its totally lost now they might aswell give up.

reply

I know, she has a really weird face. I like Blair way better!

The new actress is prettier, but the storylines are dire. Every second gag is a sex joke.

See, you watch Two and a Half Men, and ya watch Anger Management... yep, jokes about sex and drinking all around. You're mind forgets that there's better. Then you watch a show like Big Bang Theory or Modern Family, and ya barely ever notice a sex joke in there. Of course, Big Bang Theory does include them more than Modern Family. But no where near the crap that is now Charlie Sheen's mess of his two shows.

Are you kidding?????? There are a lot of sex jokes in every episode on BBT

I was a big fan of Two and a Half Men, but never liked Anger Management. I gave it a chance early, but it was all too contrived. I've been watching reruns of it lately and am enjoying them more then I remember, but it's still nothing on par with Two and a Half Men.

The Big Bang Theory is great and I've watched it all along, also. Shows can be good with and without sex jokes and I suspect you have an ulterior motive in your criticism.

No. They destroyed this show. It's a complete joke now. I'm glad for Selma that she got out of this POS.

Selma didn't leave by choice.

It doesn't matter how she got out she's still better off for it, better off not being locked into that sinking ship, infact did she get a payout? If she did I'd imagine she'd find it hard to wipe the smile off her face that would be the best deal ever.

I see where you guys are coming from, but I really can't enough of the show.

I love Sheen, it's something else.

Yeah the show is a spitten mirror image of 2 and Half men but I really don't have a problem with it.

Yeah it's a lot of sex jokes..a lot. still I enjoy the hell out of it.

The show was funny at the beginning and is hilarious now.
