3 Years a Slave?

The subject matter alone is an interesting premise.
If this movie were made with better production values and... from what I hear... more soundly accurate historical research.. it would've been an interesting film to see.

The song is meh... while I think the Academy shouldn't have to do "rescinding" because they should have known what was going on before doing the nominations, I dislike it that this took out something like "I See Fire" from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug or "Atlas" from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and because I had to listen to a stupid out-of-place tribute to the Wizard of Oz because of this movie, with the excuse of "75th Anniversary".

All of this drama made me attempt to research the real-life story.
