Combination of Films

As much as I wanted to like the story for trying to be bold and somewhat romantice in an unconventional way I felt it was not that original. It seemed like the writer wanted to combine Last Tango in Paris, Shame, and maybe The Dreamlife of Angels (with a Romeo and Juliet ending). Any thoughts?
