Does it felt like this movie was like watching the 2003 Cat In The Hat?

I just saw it and while I thought it was okay, I was shocked to see some of the jokes being stolen from the much maligned 2003's Cat In The Hat.

What are some specific examples? (I haven't seen the movie and probably won't until the second run theater.)

aside from them both being surprisingly dirty, no Angry Birds was tolerable and actually had funny parts. The Cat in the Hat is an abomination to film and all copies should be burned.

Both had a "son of a...." line.

Cat In Teh Hat was maligned because it deserved it.

It was loud, obnoxious and just downright boring. I never
conceived of the idea of Mike Myers not being funny but he certainly wasn't then.

It's like he made the Cat into,
"Austin Powers in The Hat." Instead of a loveable/likeable character.

As for this film, it's nothing in anyway like that movie. If a character did say son
of a...but didn;t say the actual 'b' word, then so what? It's all over kids heads anyway.

Except for those who have idiot parents that use that kind of language at home everyday.

We need to be more concerned with kids
hearing things like that in the real world than in a harmless movie.

This is the wisest thing I heard for ages.
