Oh, lord...another Costner Fantasy Camp production...

One wonders what personal issues Costner may have in his life that require him to deify himself in his productions, but this is about the worst yet. Of COURSE, Mr. Costner plays the lead, ok...understandable, although the nickname "Devil Anse" no doubt proved an irresistible inducement. In my weaker moments I call myself, "Ace Hunter", so...cool. OF COURSE, the Costner family (which one was it? I dursn't reckon it dur matter) is brave, clever, reasonable-ish, and portrayed as being totally justified in all their actions, whereas the other family is led by sad sack Bill Paxton saddled by Mare Winningham (!?) as his wife, and of course they are portrayed as cowardly, bumbling, irrational, and revenge crazy. Most hilarious was the fat(ter), dirt(ier), old(er), drunk(er), terminator character the Costner family had. Jesus. I'm surprised Costner didn't make the character a collector of fine art and professor at Yale to be certain we got the message.

"...and portrayed as being totally justified in all their actions..."

That wasn't my impression. Both had their bad points. Several of them.
