From the rating, I thought this would be a rather mediocre movie: all blood and no matter. I watched it hesitantly because I've been seeing it around for a while now.
I honestly enjoyed watching something original for once, something disturbing that felt fresh and different, a bit of very fake blood with a lot of thought.

I agree, it was a great film that got the response it was aiming for (fascination, disgust) and i loved watching something original for once!
Do guys like "the thing"?
They like it better than no thing.
I gave it an 8 and it disturbed me greatly. But then I love films that can have that affect and still be intriguing.
