Did anyone else hate it?

I dig the writer/director's many influences - such as Matthew Barney, "Twin Peaks," "Heathers" - and there are plenty of talented actors in the cast. But for the most part this movie just revolted me. I was left wondering, what's the point? I think movies like Freeway and Greg Araki's Doom Generation already did this kind of scathing attack on American culture, and much better at that.

The director's mother must have signed up to write all the good reviews.
I did not hate it. There would have to be something in it to hate.

reply

I don't think it was about American culture. It was simply about a teenager who was, to put it simply, crazy

reply

Pretty much everyone in the movie was portrayed in a negative light, and borderline-crazy, except for the sister with CF.

reply

I couldn't finish it, but that was because of the horrible acting, writing, and directing.

I saw it through to the end, hating every long minute of it. I would give credit to Traci Lords whose performance was pretty good and AnnaLynne McCord for taking on such a repulsive role that is a million miles away from any other role she's done before.

i loved it and rated it a 10\10 mostly because of Annylynne Mccord. like you said it was so different from any character she has played. i always have liked movies with the subject matter of weird high school and college kids

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today

The movie was pretty crap. I don't understand how it can have 6.0 on IMDb, I'm seriously wondering if production crew has at least 50% of the votes.

Overall I think the movie didn't make any sense. Twin Peaks made sense, and that's some weird *beep* (loved Leland as the principle!). But this movie, I just don't get it at all. Just back and forth weird daydreams/dreams. Yeah, we know the girl is straight up crazy, but I don't understand why and I what she does is sometimes rational, sometimes it's just not realistic. Nothing in her character I think showed that she would end up cutting up her sister.

DIdn't like this at all. I was waiting and waiting for something exciting to happen but it never did. I thought it was going to be a mixture of comedy and horror. It wasn't funny at all, not was it scary. This movie was just fail.

From what I hear, Traci will take any part to count money in the bank, pay debts and stay out of the homeless statistics.
