Yes I know the Grace died, that part was clear. I was wondering why Pauline shave her hair instead of sexing up like her alter ego in her dream I think that would of made sense. It would of show the full evolution into her ego.

Hygiene, probably she didn't have a hairnet/surgeon's cap so she decided to shave her head instead.. Afterall in her mind, she was trying to save her sister..

In a earlier scene they talk about Grace needing a transplant Pauline says something about the high rate of infection caused death.
Hair is considered a breeding ground to bacteria, so shaving the head avoided all of that.
