This wasn't the worst movie I've seen in years, but it was pretty bad. It was OK until the final 15 minutes when it seems we're supposed to think Bernadette was some sort of crusader on a mission of righteous revenge. In fact, only Adam's crime was bad enough to deserve the level of punishment meted out, and even then only if you believe in vigilante justice. None of them, not even Adam, deserved to die for what they had done.
In fact, Bernadette was a murderous psycho who deserved much worse than the punishments she gave to others, especially since she herself was never hurt by any of the victims. I like stories about psycho killers just fine, but not when the movie asks me to think they're right.
And it's all just too silly. A little humor amidst the horror is fine - for example, since AJ Bowen was in both movies, I'll mention The Signal, which has a segment that is really funny while also being scary and dark. It was a terrific movie. This ... was not. *shrug* I guess my taste runs to darker, more serious horror.
