Bernadette

Anyone else here think the villain's motives were weak? The reasoning being not enough back story. How does one end up being able to wire cameras in all said situations? How long did she know them for? etc..

I would also like to say how the *beep* does Lily get missed until end, where was she whole time? This doesn't help her so called smartness? (Bonus ending scene still not suffice for me, were they working together?)

I also dislike how jarring they made Bernadette's costume and make-up compared to all else. One can be good actress in role without going that over the top, it made her hard to look at for long periods as camera never left her!

Unfourtunately Bernadette's motives weren't the only problem with the movie. The script was very weak and I was surprised to see that it was written by the actress herself.

It occurred to me that all of the events that were filmed took place in Bernadette's house.

Lily was upstairs bleeding and probably passed out in a bath tub.

I feel like other than the rape the crimes weren't enough to justify the punishments. Sure, cheating on someone you claim to love is wrong and so is voyeurism; but in my opinion neither one is exactly worthy of being brutally tortured and killed. Maybe the goal was just to show that Bernadette was a psychopath and liked to make up flimsy excuses to torture people so in her mind it would be justified. But I feel that her motive could've been a bit stronger. I think this wasn't an awful movie. Just not as good as it could've been. The script needed polished a bit more and could've used more detail. Overall I'd give this movie a 7/10.
