I don't get it either, why can't she get it right

reply

It's definitely a skill, some people have it, some don't. She apparently doesn't.

I didn't think it was any worse than actual rap.

Made me cringe so bad.

A bit off topic, sorry:

I don't know for certain as I have no idea what was intended, but wasn't it supposed to be bad, thus reinforcing her character's lack of self-awareness at that point in the script?

Now, when she opens her mouth with the singing part, well, my personal reaction was that she should get with some players in a studio for a few days and record a blues album or a single or something. Even though this was professionally produced using the best equipment, she seems to have a pretty good blues voice!

As for the original recording of this song, I have tried very hard to appreciate it, but I haven't gotten there yet.

Cheers!

Damn near everything in the genre itself since someone remixed with Every Breath You take and everyone else occupying the same racket followed suit.

2) Your lack of empathy

Seriously though, are you so pretentious that you didn't understand that it was not supposed to be good?

The point of the scene is that she's going for it, even though she knows she's not a rapper and she's kinda embarrassed about the whole thng, she goes for it.
