Minor Characters... major comedians?

Is it just too late here, and I'm losing it: Tonight this is premiering on the ABC (Australia). Are the minor characters in this all riffing on other big British comedians?

The BBC loud mouth seems to be sourcing Lord Flashheart (RIP Rik)
The Religious fanatic... at first I thought he looked like Frank Spencer, but then I was wondering if the three... were loosely based on The Goodies. The stutterer has a striking resemblance to Bill Oddie.

The newspaper seller was a Ronnie Corbett character...

I'm still watching the show, and after initially thinking, 'no, this isn't what I was expecting' I am now watching a fantastic telling of the story. No matter how disturbing Michael's penis dream is. His dream, that is... not his penis, per se.

I always though that the BBC Loudmouth was based on the bloke from the IT Crowd. Wrong era and channel i know but it seems like a blatant rip-off.

Interesting theory too and i wish you were right.
