I liked it. Thought Luke Treadaway was good but I'm actually sold on him in these English type gangster films.
Timothy Spall I thought would be a downer but he came good, in fact the whole cast all did well IMO. Script had a few holes which are easily forgiven/ignored so yup 108 minutes of my life well spent.
Agreed. I enjoyed this quite a lot - nice twists here and there, good acting all around, intense enough to keep you alert. Rating on IMDB seems low - should be more near a 7. I also consider my time well-spent on this movie, even if it wasn't a masterpiece.

A pretty decent debt from Rowan Athale. He managed to assemble a talented cast too. Ultimately I think the narrative was a little contrived to get the twist ending, but I liked The Rise.🐭
