The red carpet is already being rolled out, and I'm still NOT excited for Sunday. Oscar skipping great movies like this makes real fans tune out.

Thor The Dark World is another highly entertaining, action-packed sci-fi fantasy action thriller with some surprising plot twists and surprises throughout the film. The sequel surpasses the first film for its stunning depiction of the other realms (especially Asgard, which is lacking in the first film). The artistic designs for the costumes, weapons, set designs were nothing short of impressive and visually spectacular.

The film has a fine balance of action, humor and emotion. There are more enjoyable action scenes and several emotional scenes involving Loki in this sequel which proved to be better than the first film. The climatic battle and Dark Elves' assault on Asgard were shot brilliantly. There are several interesting cameo appearances which proved to be a delight to the Marvel fans as well.

I do believe that when we face challenges in life that are beyond our own power, it's an opportunity to build on our faith, inner strength, and courage. I've learned that how we face challenges plays a big role in the outcome of them. Movies like this pay that off.

It nailed it then and it still drives DC fans crazy. They bring this movie up all the time as if it's the MCU weak link. It's not.

This film is selling itself.

Thor: The Dark World is a movie that understands why we like these characters, how they work and how to best bounce them off each other.

You seem fanatical too. And the last movie you seemed to post in any degree about was The Wolverine. What's with you and Marvel? It's hard to take you seriously because if you're not a plant, you're just clearly biased.

Anything over 70% is a win for a movie in this genre at this point. Critics want to hate these films now because they are king of the box office and that takes away from the Independent stuff in their narrow minds.

Asgard in TDW was 100% better than the original. It looked like a real set was built for most of it. It had a Lord of the Rings look to it.

LOTR meets Star Wars as someone here just put it. Honestly, I enjoyed this more than LOTR. I think most people do.

Not to mention Loki is the best bad guy character in the modern era...

On some very few occasions in the history of cinema, the stars have aligned and given us some pairings of actor and character where magic happens, where the finished whole on screen becomes far greater than the same of the parts.

Some examples include Max Shreck as Count Orlok, Peter Sellers and Inspector Clouseau, or Sean Connery as James Bond.

For Marvel, this lightning has struck twice. First, with Robert Downey jr, and then with Tom Hiddletson as Loki - the true star of "Thor the Dark World". He lifts the movie and outshines everyone else whenever he is onscreen.

The genuine and relatable qualities of these characters are what make it a great film. Sure, the action and fantasy are incredible but the story works so well. The family dynamics between fathers & sons along with sibling angst and the price of vanity and emotion of loss will resonate for most. The choices made and the relationships on display are as wonderful as the brawling and action… which are as good as any movie that I’ve seen this year.

At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not watching more Marvel movies just like this one.
