Any Avatar The Last Airbender fans see what I saw?

Ahhh, the glowing eyes and mad fighting skills of the Avatar State (the awesome Nick cartoon depiction, not M. Night's train-wreck of a film tragedy). And the steam-punk setting felt very Legend of Korra-y. Anyone else get that feeling?

With western film and TV outright adapting/adopting Chinese wu-xia cinema (from Kung Fu Panda to Avatar) so much in recent years, it's only a matter of time before Chinese wu-xia film and TV starts adopting/adapting steam-punk outright... Of course, unlike Shyamalan, the Chinese always send their non-martial arts actors for a few months of martial arts training at the very least.

I mean, the Japanese has already been doing it for decades and the reviews from the Venice Film Fest is that "Tai Chi 0" is at the very least a FUN film-- IOW, this film will probably float or sink your boat depending on how you feel about the Chinese films having a completely irreverant take on Chinese history or historical figures...

As "Chinese flying people" movies goes, definitely more "Kung Fu Hustle" than "Crouching Tiger".

If you care enough to go around telling people you don't care... you obviously care.
