Troy One Casualties

SPOILERS!!!

Claire gets killed when they blow up Troy One. Master Chen makes a big deal out of it because that means imperial troops will retaliate. However, Claire wasn't the only casualty. During their mission to dispatch Troy they knock out several british soldiers that surely had no time to leave Troy until it blows up - nobody could survive that explosion inside of that death trap, which means troops would attack the village anyway.

I know this movie isn't meant to be taken too serious, I opened this thread for the heck of it (this board is surprisingly empty).

I know this movie isn't meant to be taken too serious ...
I agree with you. Unfortunately I feel this detracts overall from the movie. It almost seems to treat itself as a joke, so you don't feel all that worried about what happens in the film's storyline. Watching this movie was almost like watching a live action Kung Fu Panda.🐭

Compared to western movies, yes. But meanwhile I ahve watched lots of asian movies and series (most of which are of the "Wǔxiá" genre) with my taiwanese wife and apparently they do take this serious. The parts we think are silly aren't meant to be taken too literally, it's like our fairy tales mixed with history and action elements that exaggerate on purpose. And if you think of it, it's not that different from our movies where the hero can fire his weapon forever without reloading or jump his car from bridge to bridge etc.

Perhaps. I've seen plenty of wuxia as well, but most appear to take things a little more seriously than this film.🐭

Sometimes it's hard to tell. Have you seen this flick

?
I am still not sure if they are serious or not.
