Actual comedy movies from Bollywood.

To all the non-Indians, movies like Houseful and Sajid Khan are known as an embarrassment even within India. These movies hardly make anybody laugh. Cheap crap doesn't make anybody laugh.

That said, there are some actual comedy movies from Bollywood that really deserve more hype, these are the ones that I think show the best of Bollywood in terms of pure talented comedy in Bollywood that have released within the last year or so:

-Yeh Saali Zindagi
-Delhi Belly
-Vicky Donor
-Shor In The City
-Band Baaja Baarat

Just to show, that we Indians also have a great sense of humor.

None of them come close to cult Hera Pheri, Munna Bhai etc.

Hera Pheri and Munna Bhai are not made for non-Indian audiences and even then they have some over-dramatic sillyness that is just idiotic. Hera Pheri was fantastic until the climax which is basically a circus show gone wrong. Munna Bhai is too much of a moral *beep* type of film to be enjoyed by me but i guess it has its appeal too.

Hera Pheri (Best of Priyadarshan)
Pati Patni Aur Woh (Classic of Sanjeev Kapoor)
Choti Si Baat (My One Of Favorites of Amol Palekar)
Satte Pe Satta
Deewana Mastana
Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega
3 Idiots.

If you want more than look at South Indian Movies.
They are the best when it comes to pure comedy.
In South there is specially role kept of comedians like Bhrahminandan, Ali, Venu etc.
I really love acting and comic timing of Brahmi. He is awesome.
