I found this movie strangely hard to watch

Good acting, handsomely filmed, funny dialogue ... but the fact that I'd read about the brutal and disturbing real-life kidnapping/torture/murder case genuinely interfered with my enjoyment of the film.

This movie went too far to make these guys mildly sympathetic and goofy and their victims vile.

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

I find it strange people like you missed the point and actually found sympathy in these three stooges

Watch the movie for the first time tonight too... Dunno if its because its Whalberg, Falcon and The Rock but they still kinda look sympathic to me even after the murders... :/ As they where trying to get the money off Keshaw i kept laughing and couldn't care less about that dude. Even less if he had his revenge, it was actually for me a fun thing he got a well deserved shot at considering he was such an *beep*

Wors of all is that Whalberg is actualy supose to be a jerk in real life, racist and all, but his roles always make him look like a sympathic dude, even when he is supose to portray an *beep*

I think what change the movie vs the real life event is that the 2 deaths seem accidental in the movie, while in real life they where not.

I enjoyed the movie as a movie but considering i sympathized so much with the killers make me think the movie is a fail... Im never like that usually unless its a very fictional character made to be loved as a vilain like in horror movies or a video game like Resident Evil and Albert Wesker. Very strange indeed. In movies like Alpha Dog i never sympathised with Emile Hirsh character for exemple... At the end i pretty much cried... that movie was super emotional for me. I know it was a true story so it made me so sad. While this... i almost laugh multiple times, i kinda rooted for the main characters to find a way out... Wich is not normal. I guess its the Michael Bay touch... lol

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

Hard to watch? Wow, its actually the film I enjoy watching the most. I can't think of a more rewatchable film. The music, editing, writing, acting, photography - its all just perfect.
