feels similar to the robin hood remake they did a few years ago

anyone feel that too, cept that robin hood already had more of a set story and charaacters to play with

You mean the remake in which when Robin Hood becomes Robin Hood, the movie is over ? (Or so synopsed a friend of mine to me). Haven´t watched, but if it is worth checking, I will.

BTW, Sinbad needs to get more set up to do, not just random traveling.

The anachronistic costumes in the Robin Hood show were similar to the anachronistic costumes in this show so that is one major similarity that just jumped off the screen at me. I don't know that I would say Robin Hood was "good" so much as "fun", and I'll have to deal with the guy in cargo shorts (while everyone else wears period costume) just like I had to deal with Robin Hood wearing a hoodie!

I too thought of the BBC's RH and of Merlin as I watched Sinbad. There definitely are some similarities: they're all fantasy shows which mix elements of modern garb with fantasy costumes, so the overall look is somewhat similar, even if two are "medieval" and one is "Arabian Nights" fantasy. Sinbad, to me, is more reminiscent of RH than of Merlin though: the "merry band of companions" ensemble, probably.
