I really loved this movie. You don't have to agree with me on that, of course, but you have to agree that this is an attempt for Disney to try to get back to their more serious movies. Like lion king or Bambi.

That is so good I think. I'm so freakin tired of all these all-comedy-family-movies. They're all so *beep* superficial and with no depth. Just comedy, comedy and comedy. I miss the drama. No kid died seeing mufasa fall of the clip!

I hate new family movies being so shallow! The best and most emotional. I can think of theese days is "how to train your dragon". But that is an exception to the rule. And it's still a bit to comedy I think, it should of been more drama (even though it is my favorite family movie of this decade).

The Good Dinosaur was made by a different studio, however--Pixar, the studio that made movies such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Inside Out.

Bambi and The Lion King were made by Walt Disney Animation Studios (Disney Animation or WDAS for short), who more recently made movies such as Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, and Zootopia.

The two studios are now owned by the same company, The Walt Disney Company (Disney for short), and managed by the same person, John Lasseter, who started out at WDAS for a number of years, founded Pixar (as an animation studio--they were a computer company back when he first joined), and then came back to Disney to manage both WDAS and Pixar. These two studios are, however, still separate and operate independently of one another like before, management aside, and Lasseter's express goal is to keep them that way.

I've heard and read everywhere that it is so bad (I don't agree). But why? Haven't read anywhere why it's bad???

For me it's a Disney movie trying to capture the more dramatic and serious feelings of a movie. And thank god for that.

I'm so sick and tired of all the comedy movies with no depth at all. Inside out getting an Oscar/Oscar nominee really???

That is as much deep as American pie. It just seems deep since all the other movies are so much more shallow. Geez... Compare it to lion king, bambi or beauty and the beast ?

So that's why I like this film. The best Disney animated movie since the 90s. But of course, over sensitive parents bashes it.

Awesome movie. Completely underrated, very emotional film.

Too black? You've got some serious issues to deal with. How you even interpreted this as having a racial message is beyond me.

reply

You're racist.

"Too black"?!
I didn't even realize that a single voice actor was black until I came here to IMDb
Because, who cares?
In fact there's way more white actors than black in this film.
its not "politically correct" to have a diverse group of actors. You see, YOU are a racist. So when you see someone not white in a main role you assume it's to fill some imaginary quota. It couldn't just be that they were the best actor for the job.
You're pathetic honestly.

reply

Well it seems to have suceeded in annoying the completelt idiotic audience. That would be you. "Too black". *smh*
