Why the HATE

This is an amazing shot film with a cute storyline ... just because it doesn't fit with Texas school text books is no reason to hate.

I'm guessing, some people had a problem with the dinosaurs sounding like country bumpkins.

One of the better Pixar movies. It's even better than Finding Nemo. There, I said it.

Some of my all time favourite movies have been Pixar movies but I think this movie would have sunk without trace if it didn't bear their logo.

Amazing visuals yes, but you could get the same from watching a HD nature documentary.

Uninteresting plot and characters and barely a joke all movie.

Pixar appear to be in a steep decline and the best animated movies being made today are by Disney.

Zootopia
Frozen
Wreck it Ralph

Uh, I don't live in Texas, and I'm not a creationist - so that's a pretty simpleminded way of dismissing criticism, straight away...

I also don't HATE it - it just isn't as good as lots of other Pixar efforts, and it just so happens that most of their 'substandard' films have been released within the last 5 years... so as far as I'm concerned, there's a definite slacking off, at the top.

The animation was absolutely amazing
...except for every character in it. Hard to connect to characters that look like plastic toys. Missed opportunity if you ask me - had the animation been better, I already would have liked it more. I felt it was unworthy of Pixar. The story was okay, but no more than that - it lacked Pixar's signature humor. The only thing I did see, was a little bit of Pixar's heart in the 'family' bit. Could have been much better.
