Please sign the petition to have this film shown in movie theaters across the country! It worked in the Philippines (they even got an extended release) and it can damn sure work in the United States!

More to the point, Japan isn't all about the manga, they see it as kids stuff or for weird nerdy geeks, just like the rest of us.

I think I've grown out of it, but I still think about some of the shows I used to watch, mainly just Ghost in the Shell and CyberCity.
Occasionally I come across something or I'll want to see whats hot and find ridiculous stuff like this and rabid fans belittling anyone who doesn't like it for not being intelligent enough.
The zanier stuff seems popular because it takes the viewer so far away from reality, at some point you just have to grow up and deal with life responsibly.

It's actually surprisingly low tech in most areas. Yes there is a lot of money in anime, but it isn't what you weeaboo fruits seem to think.

Be reasonable. Demanding that some obscure insensible, yet generic anime, should be shown nationwide, that everyone should love it, doesn't make sense to anyone other than zealots.
If you can't see that then you're beyond saving
First, OP's petition is/was useless.
Second, you're wrong about anime/manga popularity in Japan. Over there, this media incorporates every genre you can think of reaching out to all ages, male and female, and generates money like crazy. Japan's public TV shows anime in prime time hours.
Third, you seem very resentful towards this media.
