Graham's Coming Out Party - Eric Idle becomes Keith Moon

I thought Eric Idle didn't have anything to do with this film, but apparently someone didn't want to piss him off because they changed the 'Coming Out Party' story a bit. In the original version, it is Eric Idle who Graham has to explain what it means when he says he actually goes to bed with another man, not Keith Moon. Eric always hated the way Graham told this story, because it made him look a bit naive, I suppose.

Still, much of 'A Liar's Autobiography' is fictional anyway (that's the way Graham wrote it) so it really doesn't matter if they changed one minor detail!

But who was the unnamed bug-eyed fellow he told just before Keith Moon who fell on the floor laughing? I thought it might have been Marty Feldman?

We are the coup, you idiot!

reply

Yep, that was Marty Feldman.
