The sun will explode and take this movie with it.

"Your wife's on my Wham-O"
Your ignorance is expected, almost like white noise at this point. Rarely would I take the time to educate the unwashed masses, but I have a spare moment, so here goes.
Films of this type exist for a reason, to generate revenue for other projects that production studios are interested in pursuing. As well as helping directors, actors, and the slew of other people you see in the credits, earn a paycheck and put food on their table. Granted these types of movies, are not of the highest standards, but in this case I believe they truly tried and did their best, considering their target demographic, and I find no fault in that.
Previous to SMB, Madrose Productions produced two very ambitious films (Arcadia, and The New Republic)and in order for them to realize their next "real" project, they have to stay in buisiness long enough to get there. Meanwhile, Straight up films is going on to produce Transcendence. Do you see the correlation?
These films are here to stay, and will continue to be watched for as long as humanity fails to attain the hive mind that you yourself exhibit, although you seem unaware of.
Your logic while faulty was well stated. You seem to sit on a tall horse though so keep your feet tight in the stirrups so as not to take a tumble off.
