Bob Odenkirk is very entertaining to watch as the listless and burned out professor. He had some great scenes involving exchanges with superficial, narcissistic college students characters. There are some really funny Saul Goodman / Nobody type scenes where Odenkirk’s understated sarcasm is on full display. I’m interested to see where it goes and plan to tune in this season.
shareI’ll watch this season at least. Thought this first episode was just okay, but I like Odenkirk in the role. The show seems to not know if it wants to be a dark comedy or a drama with comedic elements. Hopefully it gets more comfortable with itself throughout the season.

shareI’m coming back for season 2 if they get it. People here have been saying I’m too critical in my reviews so, I’m trying to give shows a second try. But I’m going to watch like you’ve described: in a way that allows me to fast forward. I will say that the show seemed to culminate to answer most of the big plot issues as if they thought they might not get a second season. So, at least you will find some conclusion if you watch all episodes. But I’m honestly like warm on it.
