Why isn't anyone discussing it?

It's a great movie, really enjoyed it!
Was a bit surprised to find the message board almost completely empty. Surely, quite a few people must have seen the movie by now, counting about 4 years from its original release. So the silence here is a bit disturbing, to be honest. Because, having watched the movie, I for one have a few questions:
- Did Mari sleep with that guy in the end?
- Do you guys think Mari also liked Yolanda that way or just as a friend?
- I thought Mari's mother was acting all weird and completely unmotherly - at first I even thought she was a drug addict - what did you guys think about her?

II loved it too! I came on this board to find if anyone had other films that were like this one - so subtle and beautiful -

Your questions - yes, Mari slept with the man to get the money for her mom.
I think Mari liked Yoli just as much and in the same way but was determined to not be gay? Or maybe just didn't want that to be part of the relationship. On the mom... something was off about her as you said. I definitely think she figured out her daughter was in love with Mari whether or not it was reciprocated or had gotten sexual...

Here is another one I loved but its about boys - SHELTER. I love first time love and unrequited love... especially homosexual but was just as thrilled with Age of Innocence as I was with this movie. Do you have any movies like this one to recommend?

It was shown on the local NY/NJ/CT public broadcast station, WNET, Saturday January 7, 2017, so maybe more discussion/comment will start appearing.
