Alan still uncomfortable around gay people after all these years

I don't think that was realistic. "That civil thing" I thought he was supposed to be educated.

From where I live, that was actually a rather realistic bit. There are just some people who are always going to be uncomfortable no matter what happens to them.

I think it was realistic, do you honestly think all educated people like people who are homosexual. That's an unrealistic view of the world.

It has nothing to do with education, most of the people in the Vatican are educated as are many people in most religions and there are many people in certain religions that don't like or "BELIEVE" in homosexuality.

It has nothing to do with being uncomfortable, it has to do with what a person believes, and it doesn't matter how much education they have or even if they're not educated. I've met many people who aren't highly educated who have no problem with homosexuality.

Based on the real world some people don't change their beliefs about a lot of things from sexuality to a person race or ethnicity. there are still people who don't like black or brown skinned people just because the color of their skin, and there will always be people who don't like or feel comfortable around certain people.

It would have been unrealistic to have all the characters be acceptable of someone being homosexual.
