Two Questions regarding White Heat.

1. In one of the previous episodes, older Alan mentioned "his boys" yet we understood he and lilly couldn't have any children so did they adopt?

2. In the closing scenes of the last episode older Victor asks Charlotte if she would like to go out to dinner when he returns from abroad and she replies "my cup runneth over"...what did she means by this?

Thanks

reply

I don't know the answer to the first question as I must have missed that line - but as for the second - it was what Victor said when Charlotte first had sex with him.

reply

Can't remember the boys line but I thought somewhere along the line Lilly mentioned their daughter 'Rachel'.

reply

Were Alan and Lily still together? I thought he remarried

Victor remarried. Alan and Lilly "stayed the course" as Victor points out.

reply

No, Alan and Lilly have no children. She never told him why.

It is what Victor said to Charlotte when they first got together.

reply

It's not Alan mentioning his boys, it is Victor. The cup runneth over comment is meant to be nostalgic-when Charlie and Victor first become lovers, he says that to her.
