Withdrawl Symptoms

Is it just me or did he go throw the most pleasant week or so of being off the Meth? He didn't sweat, throw up, cry nothing

Great movie though! But I would have like to have seen that acted out a little bit more intense.

Meth is not heroine. The are no physical withdrawls. It's all mental.

But you still think he would have thrown himself around more, pleading and crying and making more of a nuisance of himself, especially since he wasn't quitting because he wanted to, but because he had no choice. Addicts can be squeaky clean physically, but if they're not mentally in the right place, they'll throw every insult and push every button to get back at the person who's trying to dry them out.

Think about Jessie from Breaking Bad and what he went through when he dried out. It wasn't cohesive conversations and logical thinking. I don't think he would have been solving supernatural mysteries for his first five days of sobriety.

I've got two good posts in me and I just wrote my third...

One of my biggest AAAAHHHH!!!! in movies/tv is the way they portray withdrawal. One night of puking, feeling uncomfortable and YAY! all fixed. Makes it look so f!cking easy. If it was that easy most of us would have been clean years ago. And the synopsis says heroin but the actors alternate between meth and crack, they are not the same thing! But yes, rattling yourself clean is nothing like that, either show the truth or use another story line but its not hard, talk to JUST ONE goddamn junkie and they'll tell you. It pisses me off every time.

Rant over.
